Trade Terms & Conditions — Black Liquorice Company Ltd

1. Trade Account Eligibility

Trade accounts are available to approved business customers only. By registering for a trade account, you confirm that you are purchasing goods for business or resale purposes.

Black Liquorice Company Ltd reserves the right to approve, refuse, suspend, or terminate any trade account at our discretion.

You agree to provide accurate and complete business information when applying for a trade account.

2. Pricing & VAT

All prices displayed on the trade website are exclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated. VAT is applied at the prevailing UK rate at checkout.

Prices are subject to change without notice.

Trade pricing is confidential and must not be shared with third parties.

3. Orders

All orders are subject to acceptance and availability.

We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order at our discretion, including but not limited to:

  • pricing errors

  • stock availability issues

  • suspected misuse of trade pricing

Orders must be placed in the specified pack sizes or quantities shown on the website.

4. Payment Terms

Payment must be made in full at the time of order unless otherwise agreed in writing.

We accept payment via approved payment methods displayed at checkout.

Ownership of goods remains with Black Liquorice Company Ltd until full payment has been received.

5. Delivery

We offer secure and tracked UK delivery using DPD courier services only.

Standard UK Delivery

  • £7 per order

  • 1–3 working days

Free Delivery

  • Orders over £200 (ex VAT) qualify for free standard delivery

  • Automatically applied at checkout

Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed. We are not liable for delays caused by courier services, adverse weather, or circumstances beyond our control.

6. Risk & Title

Risk in the goods passes to the customer upon delivery to the specified delivery address.

The customer is responsible for ensuring accurate delivery details are provided at checkout.

7. Damaged or Missing Goods

Any damaged, faulty, or missing items must be reported within 48 hours of delivery.

We may require photographic evidence before issuing replacements or refunds.

Failure to report within this timeframe may result in claims being rejected.

8. Returns & Refunds (Trade Orders)

Due to the nature of wholesale supply, we do not accept returns for:

  • unwanted goods

  • ordering errors

  • change of mind

Returns are only accepted where goods are faulty, damaged, or supplied incorrectly.

Approved returns must be authorised by Black Liquorice Company Ltd before being sent back.

9. Product Use & Resale

Customers are responsible for ensuring products are stored, handled, and resold in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including food safety and allergen requirements.

Black Liquorice Company Ltd accepts no liability for misuse or improper storage of products after delivery.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Black Liquorice Company Ltd shall not be liable for:

  • loss of profits

  • loss of business

  • indirect or consequential losses

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or any liability which cannot be excluded by law.

11. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including images, branding, and product descriptions, remains the property of Black Liquorice Company Ltd and may not be reproduced without written permission.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update or amend these Trade Terms & Conditions at any time. Continued use of the trade website constitutes acceptance of any changes.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
